If you are considering staying at Park Sands, for the first time, or, if you’ve been here before and want to stay on top of things, we ask that you familiarize yourself with the following information, which will help you, and our other guests, have the best experience possible, when you do come and stay.
At Park Sands, we sell a specific product, which is quiet, family camping. We understand, and appreciate, that there are different styles of camping, but what we do here is quiet, family style.
There are a couple of things to consider, about how we operate, that set us apart from other campgrounds. The first is that we only allow propane fires, which campers supply themselves. They must be out by 11 p.m. Wood burning is not allowed. Fires are also not allowed on the public beach. Also, any barbecues, hibachis, etc. must be gas fired – charcoal briquettes only for food cooking purposes.
Secondly, at Park Sands, we sell quiet. We can’t control what goes on, in the urban environment, around us, but in the campground, we don’t allow amplified sound producing, electronic devices to be played outside of your RV, or tent, at any time. They must also not be audible outside your RV, if you have them on, inside. This makes a significant difference to the ambience of the campground.
People come here to relax. Other people’s music, or other electronic sound, is not conducive to that. The rule is, if it’s audible outside your RV, or tent, it’s too loud.
We suggest a personal listening device as an alternative.
While we’re on the subject of noise, we don’t allow cap guns, or objects stuck in bicycle spokes, to create noise, while riding. They can be most irritating.
Basically, our philosophy is about respecting your neighbours, who come here expecting things to be the way that we say they will be. Please respect our quiet time of 11:00pm-8:00am.
You can’t have noisy and quiet, at the same time. We’ve chosen quiet. Our guests come here to enjoy that experience.
We don’t want anybody to come here and be unhappy, because they find that, what we sell is not what they’re looking for.
If you do decide to come and stay, we welcome you, but we ask you to remember these things. In return, we will do whatever we can to make your stay enjoyable.
Thank you, in advance.
